There is absolutely nothing we didn’t love about this resort! Where do we start? How about being located on the easily accessible stunning island of Moorea, home to a ridiculously crystal-clear lagoon teaming with colourful aquatic life, refreshing down-to-earth Moorea charm and hospitality, thoughtfully appointed bungalows, and the best overwater crepe bar in the country?!
Open-air. Overwater. With an action-filled shark ‘park’ underneath your feet, the popular open-for-dinner-only Toatea Creperie and Bar is simply a must-do. Servings are generous and share-worthy between two and the creative menu is meat, seafood, and veggie friendly, even gluten-free needs are not overlooked. Our favourite was the Crepe Suzette, it was so good we went back for seconds the following evening! Think caramelised sugar, butter, tangy orange juice and zest, and of course, Grand Marnier. You will be forgiven if your attention is momentarily diverted away from the blacktip sharks and rays, the flambed crepe with its big bold dancing flame is quite mesmerising, even if it is just for a few seconds.
There are 104 bungalows and they are all worthy of a stay; whether you stay in a bungalow over the lagoon or dotted around the gardens, you are never far from the water. Even the Garden Bungalows have private pools; seriously, there are no second-rate bungalows. It’s all about how much water you’d like to have around you!
