Niyama is the island pair we suggest when a family, or a couple who likes to be busy, wants more than a reef and a book. It is big and it is lively, by design: the surf breaks onto the beach, the treetop and underwater restaurants are genuinely different evenings, and Explorers is one of the few kids' clubs in the Maldives that takes children from one. The overwater pool villas and Drift Spa keep it honest for honeymooners, especially on Chill. What it is not is small or hushed. Choose your island deliberately — Play for the surf and children, Chill for quieter pools — and plan the 45-minute seaplane around daylight.
Who it suits
Families with young children (the kids' club starts at one), active couples, surfers, and groups who want The Crescent to themselves. Couples who want a tiny, quiet island will be happier elsewhere in our collection.

The resort publishes maximum occupancy per category (recorded as stated); which villas are offered for your party comes from our partner's live system.
