The chef then personally delivered a birthday cake to the room. The whole day and indeed the entire trip was perfect.

Our wedding was absolutely amazing. Everything went to plan with no hiccups… Well maybe except for the rain. The rain, however, did make for some amazing photos.

The honeymoon was fantastic. The Maldives was spectacular and Sixth Senses was nothing less then 5 star. Our GEM (Guest Experience Maker) and all of the staff were so friendly. Nothing we requested was too much of a hassle for them. The food and dining experiences were completely perfect. We had so much fun snorkeling everyday! We even did night time snorkeling which we were able to see lobster’s, sting ray’s and plenty of other seas creatures you wouldn’t normally see during the day. It was incredible.

Our last full day on the honeymoon was Dan’s birthday and the effort everyone went to was first class. The staff somehow knew it was his birthday so we had people coming up to us all day giving their best wishes. We even received some free cocktails. Our GEM organised a special private dinner on the beach just for the two of us – full of candles,  delicious 4 course meal – we had sand between our toes and watched the crabs scurry along by us on the sand. After dinner we went back to the room to discovered that when our room was turned down for the night they had written on the bed “Happy B-day James” (for some reason they called us by our middle names) in palm leaves and scattered petals in a shape of a love heart all over the bed. The chef then personally delivered a birthday cake to the room. The whole day and indeed the entire trip was perfect.

Thank you so much for organising everything Ella. Dan and I had a honeymoon we will never forget.
