We wanted to pack in as much as could into three weeks. Hard brief?

Butler by the Sea was the most wonderful company to deal with when planning our honeymoon. We are both well-seasoned travellers and know our way around all the good travel sites, but Ella at Butler by the Sea had some very rare and ‘true’ specials up her sleeve for us – which was just fantastic!

We were looking for something that allowed us the complete break and relaxation we knew we’d need after the wedding, while enjoying a little luxury, something that felt ‘honeymooney’, and also experiencing something new. And we wanted to pack in as much as could into three weeks. Hard brief? Well, Ella batt an eyelid – not even when we changed our mind no less than half a dozen times about what honeymoon experience we wanted!

In the end Ella delivered the best itinerary: a treetop villa stay in the Gold Coast Hinterland with a private plane ride and picnic/snorkeling trip to the Great Barrier Reef; a luxurious and pamper-filled stay at Palazzo Versace on Main Beach where the service and attention to detail was impeccable. It really felt like we were on honeymoon – totally spoilt!, a visit to SeaWorld complete with a ‘swim with the dolphins’ experience; and a 10-night cruise around Vanuatu and New Caledonia (eating fresh lobster at Champagne Bay and swimming in the translucent turquoise waters at Isle of Pines were highlights!). How can it get better than that?!

When we were so focussed on planning our wedding, it was a weight off our shoulders and a comfort to know someone was arranging our honeymoon and all the details were taken care of. Thank you Ella, we will speak again!
