Dad is already discussing a return trip for his 60th next year. Woohoo!

A friend just messaged me asking recommendations for hotels in Bali and I immediately thought to put her in contact with you.  I am not sure if you will be able to help her, but I wanted to let her know about our helpful travel consultant Ella! Haha.

That also reminded me that I am well overdue in giving you some feedback on our family holiday to Hawaii.  It was simply AMAZING!!!  We travelled in a large group, as you know, and every single person on the trip had the most spectacular time.  No one had a bad word to say about a thing.

Firstly, thank you so much for organising the little treats for us in our room- they were such a nice touch! We received chocolates at the Waikiki Parc Hotel and a delicious fruit hamper at Turtle Bay Resort. Yum!  The accommodation in Waikiki was exactly what we needed- central to everything, clean, modern and above all else- personalised service, something you probably don’t get at larger hotels in Waikiki!  Staff remembered us at breakfast and would come up and talk to Charlie which was sweet.  When we arrived we had a staff member show us features of the hotel and up to our rooms.  The view from our room was stunning, and although some reviews on Trip Advisor stated that the noise from the Sheraton was an issue- it did not phase us one bit.  The only thing I would make a note of for future travellers is that it was a little tricky preparing Charlie’s bottles and food as it had to be done in the bathroom.  Perhaps not the best option with young children like us if you had to be washing bottles etc.  It had to be done in the same sink we washed our hands, right near the toilet, which freaked me out to start with but we had no other option and he survived.  I just gave it a really thorough cleaning a few times before using it.

Turtle Bay Resort, on the other hand, was the PERFECT set up for people with a baby, as there are two separate sink areas, one in the bathroom and one in an area with the wardrobe and coffee machine.  This meant we could use one sink for Charlie’s washing up and the other to wash our hands, brush our teeth etc.  We could not fault the room at Turtle Bay.  It was spacious, very clean, modern, beautifully decorated and the view was once again stunning.  There were plenty of restaurants to choose from, all of which were great.  The North Shore and Waikiki are completely opposite- days at Waikiki were spent out and about and we would retire to our hotel late in the evening.  Whereas on the North Shore we were based at our hotel the majority of the time and really made use of the facilities.  We did a sunset horseback ride along the beach which was lovely and hilarious- Rachel’s horse was really cheeky and she spent most of the ride in the bushes while her horse ate.  We did the helicopter ride from the resort too and it was breathtaking!!!

The only average experience of our trip was the Navatek Sunset Dinner Cruise in Waikiki.  The view was stunning and the sunset beautiful, but the show itself was a little daggy and the dinner was just OK.  I wouldn’t recommend it.  We all had fun and a laugh nonetheless.

Once again Ella, I can’t thank you enough for your patience and hard work in organising our trip.  I will be back to book our next adventure through you without hesitation!  In fact, Dad is already discussing a return trip for his 60th next year. Woohoo!

Mahalo!!!

P.S I have attached a few pictures- there are so many more I’d love to show you lol.  I hope you are well and having a great start to 2015!
