The Maradiva resort is truly 5* – I personally would give it more *

Just wanted to send a quick email and say a massive thanks to all your planning – we had an AMAZING time. I do want to write a longer feedback soon – but just wanted to say Massive thanks for now…

Finally caught up at work – so a bit less manic for me. And only took me 1 week to sort through photos – only took 3439 in 10 days hehe – bit of a photographer –so that’s my excuse.

We had an amazing time! So many people have commented how relaxed we look in our photos – so it showed.

The people of Mauritius are so friendly, helpful and can’t do enough for us. The Maradiva resort is truly 5* – I personally would give it more *. I used to work in a 5* hotel in the UK – and they are head & shoulders above.

We wanted to say a massive thank you for managing to include the honeymoon extras – very nice surprise to check in and be told we would get:
– dinner in the Raj tent on the beach one night – personalised menu for us
– Champagne breakfast
– couples massage and rose petal bath

Solis is a great company to be in contact with. Their arrival service at the airport was great. We got in the car to nice ice cold bottles of water – helped as we arrived to a nice warm afternoon.

Just a few things to mention – not bad things – but I think feedback is good: Not sure if there’s anything that can be done about flights to Mauritius – but Air Mauritius I will not recommend to anyone, service pretty bad and flight very uncomfortable. A few things we would recommend to go on your website for the resort or be changed: We were offered all 3 restaurants for dinner on our half board package, which was great. Their coast2coast restaurant has an extensive menu – but the change was good. Maybe double check with them if this is always the case and mention it? Your website says: “enjoy complimentary skewered fruit treats and icy cold water brought to your sunbed by the beach club team” this needs changing as they bring you 1 bottle of complimentary water – after that you have to pay. They walk around between 1-2pm – once – carrying a platter of sliced fruit that you can help yourselves to – no plates or serviettes – just keep in your hand or towel. The breakers bar do an amazing cocktail happy hour everyday – every week they have different ones. This is from 6.30 – 8pm. Sunday night – the only dinner option is buffet in the coast2coast – amazing buffet – but I did hear some other mention a bit of disappointment as they weren’t told

All in all we had an amazing time! And would definitely do it again. Will be in touch for our next special occasion J
